A release regarding Ukraine-related sanctions
The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today issued a release regarding Ukraine-related sanctions.
The OFAC release specifically notes the following guidance:
- Ukraine-related General License No. 13Q [PDF 168 KB], "Authorizing Certain Transactions Necessary to Divest or Transfer Debt, Equity, or Other Holdings in GAZ Group"
- Ukraine-related General License No. 15K [PDF 199 KB], "Authorizing Certain Activities Involving GAZ Group"
These licenses were previously extended on December 23, 2020, for a period of one year. The new licenses are being extended for a shorter period of 90 days.
In relation to these licenses, the OFAC provided guidance in an updated set of “frequently asked questions” (FAQs).
