A tax amnesty program—providing an opportunity for taxpayers to regularize their tax affairs and to benefit from the waiver of penalties and interest, if certain conditions are satisfied—has been extended through 30 June 2022.

Taxpayers can obtain tax statements from the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS), analyse such statements, and resolve any anomalies within the amnesty period in order to benefit from the waiver of penalties and interest.
