The tax authority released details of a tax amnesty and voluntary disclosure program that taxpayers may consider to resolve their unpaid indirect taxes.
The voluntary disclosure program is being provided in two phases, first opening 1 January 2022. The program is available to resolve various indirect taxes including sales tax, service tax, goods and services tax, and import and export customs duty liabilities. A determination as to whether the taxpayer will be granted remission from penalties and/or tax will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
