Extended deadline for the delivery of annual reports for the base year 2020

Certain deadlines regarding investments in research and development (R&D) projects in the Amazon region have been extended.

Decree nº 10.891/2021 (published in the official gazette on 10 December 2021) extends the deadline for the delivery of annual reports for the base year 2020.

In relation to the calendar year 2020:

  • The deadline for the submission of the annual “statement of report” is 31 December 2021.
  • The deadline for delivering the consolidated report and the conclusive opinion prepared by an independent auditor is 28 February 2022.

In relation to calendar year 2021:

  • The deadline for completing R&D applications is extended to 30 June 2022 (from 31 March 2022).

Other items in the decree address the minimum R&D project investment amount in the metropolitan region of Manaus.

Decree nº 10.891/2021 amends the measures previously provided by Decree nº 10.521/2020 and the regulations for the Amazon information technology law—SUFRAMA.
