Measures regarding e-invoicing under VAT implementation rules
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) approved amendments related to e-invoicing with regard to the value added tax (VAT) implementation rules.
The e-invoicing amendments are effective beginning 4 December 2021 (the start date for phase one of the e-invoicing system).
The ZATCA also announced a penalty regime applicable for violations of the e-invoicing rules.
