The Department of Finance has requested comments regarding a potential increase of the disbursement quota for charities.
Finance previously announced that it intended to launch public consultations as to whether to increase the disbursement quota—the requirement that charities spend a minimum amount on their charitable programs or gifts to qualified donees each year—beginning in 20222.
Comments are requested by 30 September 2021.
