Amendments to the sales tax rules concern an exemption for certain taxpayers involved in the petroleum sector.
The Sales Tax (Persons Exempted from Payment of Tax) (Amendment) Order 2021—effective 15 June 2021—adds a new item to the schedule for an exemption from payment of sales tax by persons approved to conduct bunkering services. The list of exempt goods includes:
- Diesel fuel
- Liquefied natural gas
- Lubricating oil and greases
