New appointment further boosts KPMG UK’s energy and natural resources offer

KPMG UK has appointed Sidd Venkatesan as a Partner in its Energy and Natural Resources business, to support its customers make the most of technology as they focus on the energy transition.

Sidd joins KPMG from IBM iX where he led on core IBM accounts globally in media and industrial sectors. Over a career spanning 23 years, Sidd has led customer focussed, digital transformation programmes for large global corporates in both the UK and Singapore and brings with him a wealth of experience in project management, change management programmes and enterprise IT.

Commenting about his appointment, Sidd said: “I can’t wait to get started working with KPMG’s clients at such a critical time for the sector. There is huge scope for the right technology solutions to drive forward the energy transition and help our clients deliver on their strategies in an intelligent way.”

Energy and Natural Resources is one of the largest sectors for KPMG UK and is at the forefront of the ESG agenda, given the critical importance of the Energy Transition, decarbonisation and the shift to Net Zero. Sidd will be instrumental in supporting key clients within the energy and utilities sector, identifying the right technology and solutions to support their strategies, and helping drive forward the firm’s work with clients on sustainability and ESG commitments.
