Welcome from Karim

Summer at the RA is not just a time of year, it’s the world’s most joyful art experience, and we’re thrilled to welcome you back.

This year, celebrated British painter David Remfry RA is the exhibition co-ordinator, and he has chosen the theme ‘Only Connect’, taken from the famous quote in Howards End by E.M. Forster. Find out more about the exhibition here.

On the theme of Only Connect, we’re so glad to be able to connect once more with you at this fantastic event. We truly believe that connections are key; in all areas of life. Whether that’s connecting with people using technology, connecting with ourselves through health and wellbeing activities, or connecting with the very earth we walk on.

On this page you can find all the information you need about tonight’s event including details of our entertainment, the facilities available and a floor plan.

We hope you have a fantastic evening, and we look forward to welcoming you on
Wednesday 5 July.
