Ian Wood, a Partner in our Energy practice, talks to David Olliver and Jonathan Ord from GLIL Infrastructure about their recent investment in the Invis Energy portfolio of 11 operational onshore wind farms. The portfolio provides around 11% of the Republic of Ireland’s installed wind capacity and is GLIL’s first direct investment outside of their core UK investment market.
Onshore wind capacity is a critical component of renewable energy generation and plays a key role in achieving a net zero carbon future. It is the most developed form of renewable energy as well as being clean and sustainable. It also creates a significant number of jobs both locally and internationally.
