Peter is responsible for overseeing KPMG’s tax support to our Local Government clients, as well as supporting clients more widely across the Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare sectors in the UK. Peter is a corporate tax specialist, but he is ultimately responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplinary tax advice to clients incorporating VAT, People Services and SDLT guidance, in addition to wider international tax considerations, where relevant.

Peter has 17 years in-depth experience of tax advisory projects within Local Government including:

  • Tax efficient structuring of the establishment of subsidiary companies and wider group structures;
  • Transfer of assets between Local Authorities and their group companies;
  • Public-private partnerships
