Denmark’s Ørsted took a radical step a few years ago: it decided to sell all its oil and gas assets and become a pure renewable energy provider (changing its name from Danish Oil and Natural Gas – DONG Energy – in the process).
Today, it develops, constructs and operates offshore and onshore wind farms, bioenergy plants and waste-to-energy solutions and provides smart energy products to its customers. It employs 6,200 people.
