Kerem Vardar

Vardar has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with spending 18 months of it in New York. His customer portfolio consists mostly of banks and other financial institutions operating both domestically and abroad. Vardar prepared IAS trainings (especially IAS 39, IAS 32 and IFRS 7) and presented these trainings to the auditors of the Capital Markets Board and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Board. In addition to his expertise in accounting practices in Turkey and CMB Financial Reporting Standards, Vardar has extensive experience in IFRS and US GAAP. He provided consultancy services on hedge accounting (Fair Value Hedge and Cash Flow Hedge Protection). Currently, Vardar serves as the Head of Financial Services sector at KPMG Turkey.
