Oytun Önder

Oytun Önder is a Partner who is responsible for Commercial Disputes and Forensic Services in KPMG Turkey. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Department of Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University and started his career in Civil Engineering; He switched to the professional service sector in 2008. He led fraud investigations, fraud risk assessment and commercial dispute advisory projects in many countries such as Turkey, USA, Russia, France, Greece, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Moldova, and Cyprus. He served as an expert witness in international commercial and investment arbitration cases. He prepared expert opinions to be submitted to the judicial courts in Turkey. In addition, he gave oral and written testimonies in international and local courts. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in fraud investigation and fraud risk assessment as well as compliance reviews. Moreover, he developed anti-fraud models for a lot of companies operating in different industries. He possesses sectorial expertise in many industries such as media, construction, production, retail, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, automotive, nongovernmental organizations and professional sports clubs. He carried out forensic valuation projects on behalf of buyer-side in mergers and acquisitions.
