Wen Bin is a Partner at KPMG in Singapore and serves as the ASPAC regional leader for the Low Carbon Energy Network. With over 16 years of advisory experience, Wen Bin has worked extensively across power generation, energy transition, and decarbonisation. He brings a wealth of expertise in leading commercial and financial advisory services for governments, multilateral clients, and the private sector, focusing on project feasibility, policy and regulation, and the structuring of energy transactions. His advisory work spans across a range of clean technologies, including renewables, carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, carbon-neutral fuel, and carbon offsets.
Prior to joining KPMG in Singapore, Wen Bin was a Managing Consultant at IPA Energy + Water Economics, further strengthening his ability to deliver top-tier advisory services in the energy sector.
Wen Bin has played a crucial role in significant projects, such as acting as the financial advisor for a major Chinese state-owned enterprise (SOE) in bidding for a 2GW low carbon energy import project for Singapore, and advising the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on energy transition mechanisms for hydrogen, biofuels, and CCUS. His involvement in these projects showcases his expertise in facilitating energy transition and decarbonisation strategies on a global scale.
In addition to his leadership in clean technology and energy transition, Wen Bin has advised various organisations on green hydrogen strategy, green fuel strategy for APAC, and decarbonisation roadmaps for global manufacturers and financial institutions. His work has included guiding banks in developing net-zero roadmaps and supporting companies in raising capital for clean energy projects, including solar and battery installations.
