I work with transformation because female role models in tech matter
I am a management consultant, and I lead digital transformation journeys for large companies. Being a woman working in tech is becoming much more common, especially at KPMG, but I still think there should be even more of us. This is why being a female role model in tech matters the most to me.
Technology transformation projects are extensive and cover all aspects of our clients' value chains – they are truly inspiring to be a part of. The great thing about KPMG is that we have all the experience, knowledge and expertise needed to support our clients on their transformation journey. We have large, diverse teams in place to be by our clients’ side, and as an engineer I bring my technical background to the table. There are a lot of women and great role models here already, but my goal is to inspire even more to join us. I say this with confidence because I enjoy working here. The projects are challenging, the work is exciting, and you have colleagues to support you all the way.
I work with risk and compliance because your rights matter
In my team, we focus on harmonizing laws, rules and regulations to safeguard the individual’s integrity and make society more predictable. In a society where you can trust the system, knowing that your data is safe, people will enjoy more freedom. That is why risk and compliance matter most to me.
I work in a diverse team at KPMG. I am a lawyer and together with my colleagues – economists, systems scientists, accountants and colleagues with other study backgrounds - I do risk management and compliance for large companies.
As consultants, we make sure that our clients adapt their businesses to comply with laws and the ever-changing regulations that they must relate to. We educate and train them to be compliant. Right now, I work with personal data processing and GDPR. Essentially, it is about keeping everyone’s personal data online private. All personal data is private and owned by the individual. But with the vast amount of traffic on the Internet, keeping control has become immensely complex, which is where we come in. We help clients navigate the regulatory and legislative frameworks. And we make sure everyone has the freedom to move around the Internet without having their personal data exploited.
I work with migration because personal relations matter
I support clients that send employees to other countries, helping them navigate complex migration processes. As it is a broad and growing area we, as a team, create strong personal bonds with the individuals that we support. That is why personal relations matter most to me.
Within our business area Tax & Legal, we have several colleagues working with global mobility services. I lead a team that specializes in migration issues, helping companies optimize their workforce by enabling employees to freely move between offices and countries. Our role is to support clients in navigating complex rules and regulations that apply to working away from their home country.
Many people work with numbers here at KPMG, but my team works mainly with people. We follow our clients’ employees before they arrive in Sweden, arranging paperwork and guiding them through the process of work permits. These processes can be lengthy, but our workflow is fast-paced. It is not uncommon for an employee to migrate with their partner and possibly their children as well, which naturally makes it a highly personal process. But what’s even more rewarding is that we get to follow our clients over time - organizing extended work permits and, at times, even permanent permits.
I work with sustainability because real contribution matters
Working with sustainability is important to me. And to be able to contribute to our clients’ ESG progress within their own operations is to make a real difference. Motivation, inspiration and teamwork are key ingredients to success, which is why real contribution matters most to me.
KPMG is at the forefront of sustainability services, and there are some truly inspiring and influential individuals working here. This strong reputation as a sustainability leader was my main reason for joining KPMG.
When I started here, I immediately appreciated the culture and the way we all contribute – to the team, to the projects, to the clients and, ultimately, to a more sustainable and resilient planet. I was amazed by how fast I was able to contribute from the start. At the end of the day, when KPMG adds value, it is about everyone here collaborating to bring new solutions to the table.
I work with audit because trust in capital markets matters
I have always been interested in the dynamics of how banks and capital markets operate. As a specialized auditor, I ensure that my clients document and report their numbers accurately, helping maintain society’s trust in banks and the capital market. That is why financial auditing matters most to me.
Every day, people around the world trust banks, financial institutions and insurance companies with their money. Our mission is to assess and guide these institutions in complying with rules and regulations, having robust internal controls in place and ensuring good governance.
Our work is crucial for our clients as any flaws that we identify in their internal control operations pose a risk. The value we create is showing how these internal control processes can be improved. When we perform our job with excellence, we help maintain the reputation and public trust in banks and financial institutions, which is important not only for our clients but for society as a whole.
