Peter Bannink joined the firm in 2019 to build the thought leadership function and is since 2021 responsible for the marketing team across Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Lebanon. He manages the overall marketing strategy across thought leadership and other published content, PR & communications, social media, and events.

Prior to joining KPMG, he worked with in the publishing industry, focusing on emerging markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America, and producing country economic guides in these markets. He has interviewed well over 800 business leaders and high-ranking executives in the public and private sector in these regions.

He graduated with two master's degrees in the field of international relations and history from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and the European University of St. Petersburg (Russia).
