Ramona Jurubiță appointed Senior Partner KPMG Romania
KPMG in Romania is pleased to announce the appointment of Ramona Jurubiță as Senior Partner of the firm, effective 1 October 2018. Ramona will succeed Șerban Toader after his three consecutive appointments as leader of the professional services firm.
Ramona is currently Deputy Senior Partner and Head of Tax & Legal at KPMG in Romania and a member of the Executive Committee of the member firms of KPMG in Romania. As Senior Partner, Ramona will coordinate the governance and strategy of the firm and will represent the interests of the KPMG group of firms in Romania both on the domestic market and internationally. Ramona will be the fourth Senior Partner to lead KPMG in Romania since the firm’s establishment in 1994, following François Gontard (1994-2001), Victor Kevehazi (2001-2007), and Șerban Toader (2007-2018).

Biographies
About Ramona Jurubiță
With almost 20 years of experience in tax, Ramona Jurubiță has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and also a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Romanian-American University. She is a Member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants), the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants (CCF), CECCAR, the Association of National Evaluators of Romania (ANEVAR), and has graduated from several professional programs developed by prestigious organisations such as London Business School and Harvard Business School.
In her current role as head of Tax & Legal Department, Ramona advises clients on the complex and frequently changing legislation in the tax and legal environment. With her detailed knowledge of Romanian and international tax and law, Ramona's lightning sharp brain, quick reactions, and power of persuasion are essential skills in these times of commercial, economic, and social uncertainty and transformation.
About Șerban Toader
Serban has been Senior Partner of KPMG in Romania since 2007, and has over 22 years of experience as an auditor and consultant. Over two decades he has witnessed the transformations brought about by privatisations, as well as Romania’s accession to Euro-Atlantic structures, the challenges of the single European market and, perhaps his greatest achievement, he guided KPMG in Romania through the period of economic crisis to growth and maturation, ensuring its stability. He has stood by KPMG’s clients through their good and most difficult moments, guiding them towards listings on the capital markets, complex restructurings, mergers, or acquisitions, always focusing on the best individual solution for each business. He currently applies his broad experience, not only in the business environment, but also for the community and the environment, as Chair of United Way Romania and by his direct involvement in non-profit organisations.
Șerban is a member of the Executive Committee of KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe and a member of the Board of United Way Romania. He is a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR), the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR), as well as a Fellow of ACCA, UK. He has several prestigious academic qualifications, including an Executive MBA from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris as well as several professional programs from University of Edinburgh School of Management, London Business School and Harvard Business School.
