Representatives of automotive companies operating on the Polish market are pessimistic about both the current and future situation of the industry. The automotive executive sentiment index is at 46, down as much as 23 points compared to the mid-2021 survey. The latest edition of the KPMG and PZPM survey, "Automotive Executive Barometer ", shows that the majority of the industry's representatives do not expect the development of electromobility to slow down, forecasting that by 2030 more than one in three passenger cars will be charged from the socket. The global crisis on the semiconductor market caused a drop in sales in 8 out of 10 automotive companies operating on the Polish market.
The results of the latest KPMG and PZPM survey indicate growing pessimism among manufacturers and distributors of automotive companies in Poland. The Automotive Executive Sentiment Index stands at 46, down 23 points compared to the mid-2021 survey. Industry representatives are also less positive about the future of the industry, with the industry future sentiment index at 43 points, down 32 points from the June 2021 edition of the survey.
The Automotive Executive Barometer is a survey conducted by the Polish Automotive Industry Association and KPMG in Poland in January 2022. The aim of the survey was to find out the opinion of the management of automotive companies on the current and future situation of the industry in Poland. The survey was addressed to managers of manufacturing companies and distributors of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, bodies or subassemblies, parts and accessories. There were 69 respondents to the online survey.
