Brett McDermott

Brett is an experienced Business Accounting and Advisory Partner. He joined the PNG practice in 2023 having spent more than 20 years in KPMG’s Australia practice. He brings a wide range of accounting and advisory skills including a background in accounting and tax compliance, management accounting and reporting, back office and accounting systems and policies.

In his roles with KPMG, he has worked across many industries including both large and small businesses. Brett has worked with large family organisations, privately owned businesses, foreign investment from multi-nationals and public companies, advising on commercial, compliance and technical matters.

Brett oversees our service offerings such as payroll, statutory compliance, work permits and visas, client training, accounting services such as back office accounting, financial statement preparation, financial governance policies etc.
