The utility and innovation of works for taxes in Peru

As is known, Peru has been facing significant gaps in infrastructure that affect a large part of its population. For example, in 2015, according to the Association for the Promotion of National Infrastructure (AFIN), this gap was extended by more than US$160,000 million, almost 80% of the national GDP. Faced with this situation, the Works for Taxes (OxI) mechanism was created in 2008 with an innovative approach to speed up the creation and execution of public investment projects in infrastructure.
