Nick joined KPMG in November 2017 and leads the Indirect Tax practice in Saudi Arabia. He has over 33 years experience advising clients in Indirect Taxes in the UK, Europe, Sub Saharan Africa and the GCC. Nick was a Senior Partner at PwC South Africa where he undertook the following practice wide leadership roles.
He has extensive experience and competency in all key areas of indirect tax related matters i.e. VAT, GST, Customs, Excise and International Trade. Most recently he has spent a significant portion of his time in assisting clients optimize accounting processes and controls and data systems using data analytics methodologies. Over his career he has consulted extensively in technical matters, dispute resolution and negotiations, external and internal audit. He has strong experience in liaising and negotiating with Revenue Authorities and National Treasury to achieve successful outcomes for clients and, where appropriate, suggest amendments to tax legislation and regulations. He also acted as the lead tax partner for key accounts industries such as telecommunications, financial services, technology, utilities.
