Nader Haffar

Nader Haffar has been the Chairman and CEO of KPMG in the Lower Gulf (UAE and Oman) since 2018. Prior to taking up this role, he served as Head of the firm’s Management Consultancy practice and oversaw considerable growth in that part of the business. He has also worked with the firm in Saudi Arabia. In 2019, he was recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the Top 50 Expat CEOs in the UAE.

With more than 25 years’ experience in management consulting spanning the USA, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, Nader has worked in a variety of industries in both the private and public sectors. He has had a strong focus on government transformation programs and energy and natural resources. Nader has held leadership positions on many important global accounts and has advised senior leaders in relation to transformational change programs, operating model design and implementation, tax efficient supply chain/procurement, strategy, technology, and digital transformation. He has led major projects including development of the Cyber Security Framework for the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and ten other key banks; large business integration projects for national oil companies (NOCs) across the entire Gulf region; and accounting conversion from cash to accrual transformation for the Department of Transport (DoT) and Department of Economic Development (DED) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) in several GCC countries. He also sits on the KPMG boards of the Middle East and South Asia (MESA) and Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMA).

Nader is a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Columbia University in New York. He has also completed executive management programs from Colombia University and Harvard Business School.
