KPMG New Zealand has announced the recent appointment of Matthew Evetts, who has joined as Consulting Partner to lead the firm’s national Cyber Security practice.

Matthew joins the firm with a wealth of experience in strategy and solution development, client relationship management, and delivery. He pairs this with a passion for the value and opportunity for positive change that technology can bring to an organisation.

With a strong focus on security, particularly cybersecurity, Matthew will work with the firm’s clients to explore how they can accelerate risk mitigation and create value - enabling them to successfully deliver their core business. Matthew will also help clients build organisational and national resilience in the face of cyber threats and shocks, while still taking advantage of innovations as they arise.

“Matthew’s experience will be a huge asset to our Cyber team to support our clients to keep their people and systems, networks and critical assets safe” says KPMG New Zealand Chief Executive Jason Doherty.

Matthew comments that “consulting, technology and cyber are ultimately about enabling organisations to be the best they can be. I want to be part of building a more resilient nation -  with organisations that are more secure and sustainable, and defended against global threats and shocks - and I’m looking forward to our contributing to our purpose of fuelling New Zealand’s prosperity.”
