Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) data shows farm sales had a 15.6% increase for the three months ended July compared to the same period last year, prompting guarded optimism in the rural real estate sector. REINZ rural spokesperson Brian Peacocke said the sales volumes are still well down on the same period in 2018 albeit improved from 2019, indicating the sector is still in a recovery phase.
