Matt van Eyk

Matt is a Director based in our Hamilton office with connections throughout the wider Waikato region. Matt comes from a dairy farming background and has over ten years of experience as a professional supporting the Agri sector. His interest in the industry comes from growing up on the family dairy farm on the Hauraki Plains, and he is currently involved with his own family farming business.

Before joining KPMG, Matt worked for a leading New Zealand bank as a Rural Manager covering a range of family and smaller corporate businesses in the wider Waikato.

His current portfolio is predominately dairy-focused, and his experience also covers sheep and beef, Horticulture and Dairy Goats. Matt is passionate about helping drive outcomes for his clients and stakeholders, identifying areas of growth and resilience. Outside work, his interests include getting out and about with the family, bush walks and sports.
