Richard Tims

Richard has had an extensive career in IT and Cyber Security. He originally started his journey at KPMG before moving into Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer roles for some well-known NZ corporations as well as senior roles in professional services. Richard’s leadership skills and business contribution was recognised when he was named Computerworld CIO of the Year in 2005. Richard has deep experience in the Banking, Gaming and Energy sectors as well hands on experience across a broad range IT and security domains from technical testing, design and implementation to governance, policies and frameworks and Digital transformation. As a Partner he is adept at simplifying complex IT and security risks for Boards and Executive teams, and providing pragmatic and practical insights from over 25 years in the IT and security industry. He is well recognised for his engaging communication style and ability to ensure the right business outcomes are achieved.
