Sarah joined KPMG in New Zealand in 1991 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. In 1995 she was seconded to KPMG in the UK and from 1998 she specialised in transaction work. She re-joined KPMG in New Zealand in 2005 carrying out engagements for a wide variety of companies and private equity firms. She has advised on transactions across a number of sectors including FMCG, healthcare, energy, professional services and transport sectors.

Sarah also has significant public sector experience performing business case reviews and undertaking detailed financial analysis on the cost base of public sector organisations. This includes consideration of financial stability, supplier capability, reasonableness of assumptions underlining financial data and also the impact on any funding requirements.

Sarah was appointed CFO in July 2018. She brings to the role skills in critical analysis of financial and wider business issues to support more informed decision making by the Board, management, funders and other key stakeholders.

In 2011, Sarah was appointed as a member of the Panel of the Ministerial Inquiry into the operation of fishing vessels, including foreign charter vessels, in New Zealand’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
