Ann Au

Ann is a director in the financial services audit team, primarily servicing life insurance companies. Ann has more than 15 years of audit experience, of which 8 years were gained in the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market, managing audits of subsidiaries of listed companies in the US and Europe. Ann also works on accounting advisory engagements, with a focus on gap analysis and implementation of NZ IFRS 17, Insurance Contracts. Ann has presented at a number of technical accounting updates in New Zealand. Speaking engagements included IFRS 17 insurance accounting presentation to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, finance and actuarial teams, and board members of New Zealand insurance entities. Ann is also experienced in auditing securitized reinsurance vehicles covering property-catastrophe reinsurance risks and mortality risks.
