Wole Obayomi practised as a barrister in Nigerian courts for 5 years before switching his career to join Arthur Andersen in 1990 where he became a partner and head of Business Regulatory Services in 2001. He joined KPMG in 2003 as a Partner and has since then served as industry leader and head of tax for Consumer & Industrial Markets line of business of the firm (2007 -2016) and head of Tax, Regulatory & People Services practice (2016 to date). He has been KPMG Africa Head of Tax and Legal since 2018 supporting member firms’ implementation of KPMG’s Global and Regional Tax & Legal Strategy and seamless service delivery to African and Global clients in the region.

Wole has successfully led various tax and regulatory compliance and advisory engagements for various multinational and Nigerian companies in different sectors over the years, and has been instrumental to notable policy, fiscal, legal, regulatory and institutional reforms in Nigeria. Wole is a recognized thought leader; he has written extensively on diverse tax, legal and business regulatory issues, and has at various times served as a resource person, speaker, panelist and moderator at many local and international conferences, seminars and workshops.
