Olufemi is a Partner in the Consumer/Industrial Markets Tax Group, KPMG in Nigeria. He has over 17 years of experience providing tax solutions and creating significant business value for indigenous and multinational companies operating in various sectors of the economy including: oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, telecoms, digital, agribusiness, construction, hospitality, entertainment, education, infrastructure, government and logistics. His experiences include; provision of tax planning advisory, tax due diligence reviews, transaction advisory, international and domestic tax advisory, obtaining tax refunds, tax dispute support, business restructuring and tax asset planning.
Olufemi leads KPMG’ Tax Reimagined initiative in West Africa, which is a technology-enabled holistic approach to developing a future state target operating model for the tax and statutory function. One that reduces costs, maintains and improves quality, and unlocks value. He has supported domestic and international companies to review and improve their Tax Functions and tax processes by conducting Tax Function assessments, designing the right tax operating model, development of tax strategy, and tax data and tax technology maturity assessment.
He was part of the editorial team that produced some of KPMG Nigeria’s sectorial publications include the Nigerian Mining Sector Guide, Nigerian Sustainable Technologies Guide, and the Tax Function Assessment Report - Nigeria. He has facilitated some tax and accounting training courses for the local regulators and industry players.
Olufemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
