He was the head of our Energy & Natural Resources Audit Group and provided professional services to a variety of entities in the industry. He has over 22 years of audit and accounting advisory experience and has provided audit and accounting advisory services including training and capacity building process and procedures manual reviews and due diligence reviews to clients in diverse industries and sectors including the energy and natural resources industry.
Chibuzor’s industry specialization is in the power & utilities and oil & gas sector, where he has served as the engagement partner on the audit and audit-related projects for the industry clients in Nigeria and Africa. He has in-depth technical knowledge with a credible track record and competence in providing support to resolve complex accounting and auditing issues. He also has deep experience in the development of accounting manual and has demonstrated this expertise on varied IFRS projects for our clients.
Chibuzor has extensive knowledge of the Nigerian power and oil & gas industries and has served as engagement partner on several accounting/audit and IFRS conversion projects which included accounting policy design, processes & procedures review and manual development, accounting/audit training and capacity building as well as financial statement audit engagements for local and multinational clients including listed companies, helping them meet tight deadlines. As an audit partner, Chibuzor had responsibility for quality control of audit and related services engagements in his group and has also served as an audit quality control reviewer in Sierra Leone, Ghana and Kuwait. He currently serves as Risk Management partner and Ethics and Independence partner for Nigeria and Ghana and is responsible for the member firm’s compliance with all the quality and risk policies and procedures.
