Akintoye is Partner, Consumer/Industrial Markets Audit & Assurance Services, KPMG in Nigeria. He has garnered over 16 years of professional audit experience and has demonstrated this expertise in assisting our clients across various markets and sectors, delivering value-added results with industry leading practices.

Akintoye’s expertise spans audit and advisory services including financial statement/statutory audit services, agreed-upon procedures, risk assessment, special purpose/project/program audit, process audit/reviews, financial reporting advisory, working as reporting accountant, IFRS advisory (conversion and implementation support) and capacity building/training services. He is very familiar with the deadlines and requirements of multinational group reporting both under IFRS and other local statutory reporting frameworks.

Akintoye has served as Lead Engagement Partner on several statutory audit and group reporting services for our national and multinational clients in diverse markets including FMCG, consumer markets, manufacturing, industrial markets, technology, media/communications, not-for-profit/NGO, agribusiness, shipping and telecommunication, etc. He has also led various agreed-upon procedure engagements in these sectors.

Akintoye has served on the financial statements audit of corporate entities quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He has delivered quality audit for large corporates and major industry players as well as various SMEs, providing the right advice on financial reporting standards.

Akintoye has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho and an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and he is registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
