ESG gains momentum

Benjamin Ang, Director of International and Domestic Tax Advisory at KPMG in Malaysia, penned his commentary on green tax measures, such as the Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA), Green Investment Tax Exemption (GITE) and carbon initiatives. He highlighted that, in line with the government’s aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, organizations should review their carbon footprint and its impacts, implement ESG initiatives early on, and leverage available green tax incentives to drive the ESG momentum and stay ahead of the competition.
