Low value goods tax (LVG) does not affect consumer sentiment

Soh Lian Seng, Head of Tax at KPMG in Malaysia, sheds light on the impending implementation of the sales tax on low value goods (LVG). He noted that since the tax is still reliant on the sales mechanism, it could level the playing field for local businesses, especially those that were previously overshadowed by their online counterparts.
