KPMG: Two-month deferment of e-invoicing implementation to August 2024 is not much of a grace period

Ng Wei Wei, Executive Director of Tax Dispute Resolution shared her view that the two-month deferment for the implementation of e-invoicing for taxpayers with an annual turnover exceeding RM100 million may prove to be too short, considering that there remained many questions surrounding the new e-invoicing directive.
She also recommended taxpayers to prepare for e-invoicing by: assessing sales scenarios that may be subject to different e-invoicing requirements, initiating communications for collection of required data, and managing stakeholder expectations on changes in roles and responsibilities.
