On air with Astro Awani, Soh Lian Seng, Head of Tax at KPMG in Malaysia, shared his views on anticipated tax changes such as the capital gains tax (CGT), wealth tax, global minimum tax and potential reintroduction of the goods and services tax (GST) for Budget 2024. He also proposed exploring further deductions for employee upskilling programs and implementing a higher capital allowance rate for ICT, which could empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in their digitalization efforts.
