In this commentary, Soh Lian Seng, Head of Tax at KPMG in Malaysia, discusses the carbon pricing mechanism that can be potentially adopted and implemented in Malaysia, specifically carbon tax and emissions trading schemes (ETS).

He advises businesses to proactively approach carbon taxes so that they can be in a stronger position to identify opportunities and challenges, both from tax and sustainability perspectives.
