Tax on Low Value Goods

Ng Sue Lynn, Head of Indirect Tax at KPMG in Malaysia, gives her view on the implementation of the Low Value Goods (LVG) sales tax. She adds that while the LVG sales tax isn’t new, the government’s intentions to implement this tax would primarily be due to the growing popularity of e-commerce and the need to create a level playing field for local businesses in the country.
