KPMG Malaysia has launched a new platform called Board Leadership Centre (BLC) that will help corporate directors have more insights into shaping businesses, board agendas as well as leading practices from across the globe.

In a statement, KPMG head of governance and sustainability Kasturi Nathan said there is a growing need for board members to have timely access to the right information given the rising scrutiny on boards to deliver long-term value.

“This is what we hope to do with the content creation and curation at BLC. Providing boards with easy access to targeted input not only raises their awareness on prevalent issues, it also provides them with the right prompts to drive discourses in their respective companies, ” she added.

Moving forward, she believed boards would play a fundamental role in driving discussions on business strategies, corporate purpose as sustainability in the corporate performance continues to gain traction.
