KPMG in Malaysia is conducting an online survey to gather insights into the appetite and expectations for digital banking services among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia.

According to Ahmad Nasri Abdul Wahab, KPMG in Malaysia’s Head of Banking, SMEs are likely to be among the main beneficiaries of digital banking services.

“In the current economic landscape where access to finance is made more challenging and cost optimization strategies are expected to be on the table for the longer haul, the opportunities that virtual banks can provide SMEs will be a welcomed boon. That is, of course, provided the virtual banks are able to cater to the needs of this market segment,” he added.
