Extension of Payment Period for Phase 1 of VA Programme

Due to overwhelming response under Phase 1 of the VA Programme, the Ministry of Finance and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (“RMCD”) have agreed to extend the payment period for Phase 1 until 14 July 2022.  Note that this is applicable for applications made on or before 30 June 2022.

This is a welcome news for taxpayers indeed, however taxpayers are encouraged to make payment as early as possible to avoid unforeseen delays.
