The Special Voluntary Disclosure Program (SVDP 2.0) has been re-introduced by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRB”) from 6 June 2023 to 31 May 2024. The SVDP 2.0 allows both, individual and corporate taxpayers to make a voluntary disclosure without any penalties being imposed, and subject to conditions, limit the risk of a tax audit/investigation being undertaken for the Years of Assessment (“YA”) voluntarily disclosed.
