Head of Advisory (Consulting)
KPMG in Singapore 

Irving is a partner in KPMG in Singapore and has been with KPMG for over 30 years, having worked in both the London and Singapore offices. As the Co-Head of Advisory (Singapore and Indonesia), he is responsible for the Advisory businesses and practices across Management Consulting and Risk Consulting.

Irving sits in the firm’s Senior Executive Committee which oversees the firm’s strategic and operational excellence. His key area of practice is in corporate governance, where he is also the KPMG APAC Leader for Board Advisory Services. He has undertaken numerous corporate governance reviews for both public and private organizations in light of the renewed focus in this area. He is a frequent invited guest speaker at board meetings and presentations as well as public forums on corporate governance.

In October 2018, Irving was appointed to the Board of the Singapore Tyler Institute (STPI). He was also appointed on that same year to the Advisory Board for the School of Accountancy for the Singapore Management University. Together with the other Board of Advisors, they are tasked to help shape the future of the accounting profession.

In addition, Irving is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) where is a member of the Governance Committee and council member of CPA Australia Sub-committee for the Public Sector.

Partner, Chief Economist
KPMG in Australia

Brendan is Chief Economist for KPMG in Australia and is lead partner for KPMG’s Economics practice.

He has significant experience in advising public sector departments and agencies on a range of issues and activities, including econometric analysis, economy-wide modelling, cost benefit analysis, impact assessments, efficiency improvements, and legislative/regulatory reform.

Brendan regularly assesses existing policies and provides economic analysis to inform key decision-makers about the impacts of potential policy interventions. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Queen Mary University of London in the School of Economics and Finance and is an Advisory Board member of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.

KPMG in Singapore

Cherine is a Partner in the KPMG ESG team at KPMG in Singapore. She has more than 15 years of consulting experience in ESG measurement, reporting and assurance, ESG deals, structuring, and financing, and decarbonisation pathways.

Her expertise extends to the technology, science and business fields, in which she has advised organisations on developing and implementing sustainability strategies, managing compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating climate change strategies.

Cherine actively participates in industry dialogues and regularly provides in-depth insights and analysis on issues critical to sustainable development, including decarbonisation, reporting, sustainable finance and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Nurul Hasanah has 17 years of experience in human rights, law, and policy development. She worked with the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia for 15 years, where she started her career as Legal Officer in 2003. She became Head of the Complaints & Inquiries Division in 2006, before heading the National Inquiry Division for 2 years starting 2010. From 2013 till 2015, she was Head of the Research and Policy Development Division. She was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Policy and Law Working Group in 2015 and left the Commission in 2018 to join Earthworm Foundation, an international non-profit organisation, formerly known as The Forest Trust. In Earthworm Foundation, she was a Senior Manager for the Palm Programme, focusing on Environment, Social and Human Rights.

Nurul Hasanah holds an LLB (Honours) from the International Islamic University, Malaysia and an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham, UK. She was a recipient of the British Foreign Commonwealth Office Chevening Fellowship Award, through which she holds a certificate in Continuing Professional Development Programme from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2006. She is also the alumni of the International Visitors Leadership Programme by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State.

Jeffry currently leads the sustainability program at OCS Group Indonesia by using the strengths built from the foundations of local, regional, and global business ecosystems, across value creation chain in facility management industry. In his capacity and multinational experience as a CFO turning into a CEO, Jeffry is currently helping CFOs, making them ESG ambassadors, and placing them at the forefront so that sustainability commitments can be safeguarded, and the final goal can be achieved: a better life for future generations. Jeffry recognizes the pressing need to champion environmentally sustainable practices within our industry and beyond – caring for our people, our communities, and our planet, by leveraging global network and using available resources. Through good corporate governance to run a sustainable profitable business with strong ethics and control, consistent and transparent reporting, Jeffry believes CFOs is the best ESG ambassadors to oversee and safeguard the sustainability commitment in each corporation.

Global Reporting Initiative

Dr Allinnettes Go Adigue is the Head of the ASEAN Regional Hub of the Global Reporting Initiative. As Head of GRI’s ASEAN Hub, Ally is tasked to promote the practice of sustainability reporting across the region by working with relevant stakeholders in creating a conducive policy environment for sustainable business practices, foster the business case of sustainability reporting and build the capacity of organizations in sustainability reporting.

A lifelong learner and a global citizen, Ally has lived in three continents in the past 15 years. Prior to GRI, Ally has previously worked for the academe, and both the public and private sectors. While working on her PhD, she worked as a graduate research assistant in the field of Climate Change Policy and Economics. She also worked in a retail electricity company in Singapore and for the Office of the President of the Philippines. Ally earned her PhD on Public Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University in 2017. She has two Master degrees: one in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, The Netherlands; and another in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. She also has Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science.
