Insights into Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures ("TCFD") and Sustainable Finance

blc

Climate change is an issue of global concern. More and more prominent investors, businesses and institutions are calling for the incorporation of climate-related financial disclosures by corporations.

At the global level, recommendations by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures ("TCFD") to increase reporting of climate-related financial information complimented Sustainable Finance efforts that focus on the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into traditional financial planning and investment decisions.

Locally, several Malaysian financial regulators also urged corporations to progress and be a catalyst to transition businesses across the country to be more climate resilient. The focus has been on corporations’ climate data such as greenhouse gas emissions, key performance indicators for issuance of green bonds and sukuk, as well as transparency in climate agenda or commitments.

We are pleased to invite you to the 'KPMG Board Leadership Center Exclusive', where we will be hosting our Head of Sustainability Advisory Services in KPMG in Malaysia - Phang Oy Cheng to share with you the avenues and opportunities in sustainable finance and climate reporting in accordance with TCFD.
