Ubaid is an Executive Director at KPMG’s Management Consulting practice, with 17 years of experience in technology and cyber security. He has consulted clients across various verticals – telecom and media, port operators, oil and gas, as well as financial services.

His areas of expertise cover Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture, Technology Engineering & Design Consultancy, Telecom OSS/BSS Infrastructure & Applications Operations, IT Service Management, IT and Business Process transformation, GRC (Including IT and Cyber), Portfolio and Program Management. He has led various successful cyber security programmes, including the Regional Security Operations Centre (SOC) implementation for a Malaysian based telecommunications company, multiple Cyber Incident Response engagements and Data breach response engagements.

Having worked in infrastructure operations for over 10 years, Ubaid has interfaced with multiple stakeholders ranging from Internal and External Audit, Senior Management teams and Board Members to Regulatory bodies and National agencies. He has been part of operationalization of Cyber Security transformation programs covering security standards and controls implementation in large scale environments, automation of cyber security hygiene controls, establishing single asset inventory, and cyber assessment & remediation programs.

Ubaid’s main areas of specialization are in infrastructure and cloud setup, security compliance reviews and information risk management, along with client engagements from the public sector and government link companies, ports & logistics, energy companies as well as oil and gas industries.
