Steven Solomon

Steven holds a dual role as Partner and Head of M&A Tax for KPMG in Vietnam as well as Partner of KPMG in Malaysia specializing in the International and Domestic Tax unit of the firm’s Tax practice. Prior to that Steven worked as a Director in Singapore and Indonesia. He brings over 18 years of tax experience working in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

He has significant experience in private equity and industry deal driven acquisitions of business, especially involving mergers, acquisitions, group restructurings and transfers of shares and other business and assets requiring the devising of optimum tax planning strategies. Steven’s expertise is in helping clients achieve the most tax efficient outcomes taking into account the unique risks posed by transacting in the South-East Asian tax environment. In addition to tax structuring and tax due diligences, he also advises on international financings, tax strategy, general corporate transactions and tax disputes.
