Lam Shuh Siang is the Head of the Capital Markets sector and an Audit Partner at KPMG in Malaysia. With over 20 years of experience since he joined the firm in 1997, Lam brings a wealth of expertise in audit and capital markets engagements across a broad range of industries.
He has led and managed numerous complex audit assignments for both local and international clients. His industry exposure includes oil and gas, mining, education, construction, logistics, property development, real estate investment trusts (REITs), automotive, as well as retail and manufacturing.
Lam has also served as a reporting accountant for numerous initial public offerings (IPOs) and debt issuances. His capital markets experience includes reviewing financial models for REITs, property developers, logistics companies, power generation firms, and oil and gas entities.
In the past, Lam has acted as Engagement Partner/Director for several fundraising exercises in the oil and gas and power sectors. Notably, he has acted as reporting accountant for IPOs conducted under the stringent requirements of Rule 144A of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), further underscoring his cross-border credentials and technical capabilities in international capital markets.
