Foong Mun Kong

With over 30 years of professional experience in audit and assurance, Foong Mun Kong is currently the Head of Audit at KPMG in Malaysia where he leads and directs the firm’s Audit practice across KPMG’s eight offices nationwide and has led many large audit engagements in specialized industries.

He holds additional roles within the firm including as Head of Capital Markets sector where he is involved in numerous corporate exercises which entailed the evaluation of corporate structures and significant financial risk considerations, as well as ascertaining compliance to regulatory requirements of the relevant authorities.

During his career, Mun Kong has contributed his expertise in various professional practice committee roles at the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB).
