Foong Mun Kong

Foong Mun Kong thrives on embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth. His personality is defined by a mix of enthusiasm, resilience and a strong sense of connection to others. An avid sports fan, Mun Kong finds joy in staying active and pursuing creative passions.

Mun Kong brings with him 30 years of experience in audit and assurance, having previously served as the firm’s Head of Audit. Beyond his contributions to the firm, he currently serves as Vice President of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), a Council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and is a member of the MFRS Application and Implementation Committee of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB).

He held additional roles within the firm as Head of Capital Markets sector where he participated in corporate exercises which entailed the evaluation of corporate structures and significant financial risk considerations, as well as ascertaining compliance to regulatory requirements of the relevant authorities.

Mun Kong is a Board member of KPMG ASPAC. He is also a Council Member of KPMG International.
