KPMG in Malaysia

Nicholas has been with KPMG in Malaysia since January 1997. He joined KPMG in London in 1990, and in 1993 he was seconded to KPMG in Sydney, where he gained invaluable experience. Nicholas has spoken at seminars on a variety of tax matters and he has written a number of articles including those on mergers and acquisitions that have appeared in the national press, trade journals and technical periodicals. The International Tax Review Publication noted Nicholas for his M&A work in Malaysia in 2013. He is the author of Malaysian Withholding Tax and Treaties Online, published by CCH and of the Malaysian chapter in Bloomberg BNA’s International’s Global Tax Guide. He is also a co-author of a chapter on Malaysian Permanent Establishments, which was published on the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (“IBFD”)’s international tax database. Nicholas is also a Council Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, a Fellow of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and a Member of the United Kingdom Chartered Institute of Taxation.

His main areas of specialization is in insurance and banking sectors, tax diagnostic reviews, tax structuring services and due diligence exercises.
